Located on the East Side of the Cherry Capital, Traverse City's East Bay lies off of Lake Michigan. This lake borders the Leelanau Peninsula, home to many of the Traverse City vineyards & private lakeshore beaches in Traverse City, as well as the Acme Shoreline, home of the Vasa trail.
This freshwater lake lends itself to some of the best Northern Michigan summer activities. From boating, to swimming, to fishing, to kayaking, to sungazing, to sunset chasing, East Bay has something for everyone. It doesn't get much better than summertime in Northern Michigan!
